What is UCR (Unified Carrier Registration)?

UCR is a yearly federal registration that interstate motor carriers, brokers and freight forwarders pay, with the carrier fee set by fleet size.

It is collected through the UCR system set up under 49 U.S.C. 14504a. Fees and deadlines are posted each year on ucr.gov.
