What we pick

We cover news that changes safety, costs, insurance or paperwork for trucking carriers, with a focus on owner-operators, new authorities, and small and medium-sized fleets in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Each day we aim for one Michigan, one Ohio, one Indiana and two national stories.

How we source

We start from the agency, court or company record when there is one. When a news outlet reported it first, we name the outlet and link to its story. Every item lists its sources and the date of the source.

How we write

Each item says what happened, why it matters for carriers and what to consider. Charges are allegations until a court decides. Our compliance lead reviews Wire items regularly. Items are general information, not legal or insurance advice.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix the item and add a dated note saying what changed. Corrections are listed at the bottom of the item with the date. To report an error, email [email protected].
