Michigan State Police says carriers that must renew CVED Authority renew each year from Oct. 1 to Dec. 1, and failing to renew by Jan. 1 revokes the authority.
Why it matters
CVED Authority renewals cover intrastate-only carriers, household goods carriers and wreckers doing police-initiated tows. Interstate general commodity carriers do not renew if they stay current on UCR.
